The GIST program assembled a diverse cohort of founders from across the globe, representing regions from Botswana to Sri Lanka. Over several weeks, these innovators immersed themselves in Atlanta’s dynamic startup ecosystem, engaging with world-class mentors, faculty, and entrepreneurs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. One of the most valuable aspects of this experience was gaining access to state-of-the-art Maker Space facilities, where we worked on refining the design and functionality of the Chedza Solar Backpack. This hands-on approach allowed us to improve our product development process, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-impact, sustainable solutions to underserved communities.

The journey continued in Washington, D.C., where we engaged with VentureWell staff and leaders from the U.S. Department of State. This stage of the program provided a deeper understanding of the global entrepreneurship landscape, exposing us to policies, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that can propel Ked-LiphiBw to greater heights. We were inspired by Ukrainian innovators who, despite facing immense challenges, demonstrated remarkable resilience and ingenuity—qualities that resonate deeply with our mission.
